♥ Book Title : I'm So Glad You Told Me What I Didn't Wanna Hear
☯ Full Synopsis : "For parents who have been knocked to the floor by bad news and plastered to the ceiling by unwelcome surprises . . . here's a book to prop you up, scrape you down, and (believe it or not) help you laugh again. Bad news is bad enough. .But bad news about your children carries a triple whammy of pain, worry, and "where did we go wrong!" An accident, an illness, an unwholesome lifestyle, a devastating decision?the truth about these awful events can turn your life upside down, isolate you from family and friends, drain you of hope, and overpower you with stress. If that's your experience right now, this book can be a lifesaver. Crammed with practical guidance and sanity-saving laughter, it's a gift of hope to you from "the queen of encouragement," Barbara Johnson and other men and women who are "out there on the dance floor of life, doing the lost-parent shuffle." Drawing on her personal experience, her years of ministering to parents in pain, and the letters she has received from hundreds of hurting (and healing) parents, Barbara Johnson shares: what you can expect in the days ahead?and how to cope what to do with your shock, pain, and guilt how to find grace for your ongoing stress how to love your kids without trying to "fix 'em" how to find comfort and encouragement in scripture, friendship, and the knowledge that you're not alone how to locate a support group?or start one of your own how to pull together with your spouse?instead of letting your pain pull you apart She salts each chapter with wry observations, uplifting letters, sunny day-lifters, cartoons and just plain-funny one-liners?to life your spirits and bring you comfort. Whether you're stuck on the ceiling, groping through the tunnel, smoldering in the fire, or down for the count, this book can keep you moving and even keep you laughing through your tears as you travel the rocky path from "Why me, Lord?" to "Thank you, Lord.""Article| Barbara Johnson| Statement ..."

♥ Book Title : Spy One
☯ Full Synopsis : "Agent Jim Huggins is embroiled in the largest case of his career. He was recruited shortly after graduating from Illinois. After a short stint with the Bureau the government set up a new agency that would concentrate on International Intelligence. Since he had a passion for intelligence he was offered a job within the new agency. He was assigned to the midwest office based in Chicago. What follows is an excerpt from the story. The school bus stopped at the corner, the tall long haired blonde girl with designer cut jeans got on board and waved at the other students on the bus and said hello to the driver. Today I noticed it was not the same driver that drove the bus for the past three weeks. It was a young woman that appeared to be in her middle thirties with dark brown hair cropped short in a bob, she was not wearing a wedding band but she had a Bluetooth or something stuck in her left ear so she could communicate with whoever she was talking to. She acknowledged the blonde girl, looked at her student ID and checked her log sheet to make sure she was supposed to be on this bus. Then the bus proceeded down the street until it got to the next corner where it stopped to pick up other students. As for me I could continue my surveillance. The blonde girl named Elisia is the daughter of the man I am following. He is believed to be a spy from an eastern European country that was once part of the Soviet Union. Since the breakup of the Soviet Union most of the satellite countries have their own networks. Why he is under surveillance is not my concern, my boss Rodger Allen McCray Field Supervisor Chicago office of international intelligence (I.I.A.) issued the order. Keep an eye on Karl Buranski record his every move and keep an eye on his family to see who they are in contact with. ♥ Book Title : Jimmy's Hope
☯ Full Synopsis : "On the last day of August in 1959, somebody left a baby with skin the color of dark chocolate on Jimmy Burletson's porch. There it was, lying in a clothesbasket, looking up at him with big brown eyes. "Lord," he said, and then just stood there. In all of his 23 years, he had never even touched a baby. In desperation, he asked himself, "What on earth does a white man in Southwest Mississippi do with a black baby?" Up until that day, his life had been just about ideal. He was widely admired and a good-looking young woman held him in high esteem. He didn't want to jeopardize his future, but he couldn't violate his principles either. His mind said, "do the logical thing," but his heart said, "do the right thing." He didn't want to keep the baby, but remarkably, that's what he wound up doing. Many people objected strongly to his decision, but he had the consolation of knowing he had done what he felt he should. For those who would say he had done the wrong thing, he knew he could look them in the eye and ask, "Well, what would you have done?""Article| Jim Robertson| Statement ..."
